Healthfirst Puts Employees First by Encouraging Professional Development
Healthfirst believes that employees are the foundation of our organization and works to ensure that we retain our talented staff by fostering their professional growth through training and educational opportunities. For the past three years, Healthfirst has partnered with GeoLearning to provide employees the Healthfirst Online Learning System (OLS) managed by our Healthfirst University (HFU).
Through the OLS, Healthfirst employees have access to over 300 online courses, which they can take from any work or home computer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can also register for Healthfirst’s onsite HFU instructor-led courses through the Healthfirst OLS
"Employees are our company and we are committed to providing them with career paths and training to further their professional development” says Pamela Marino, assistant director for learning and development at Healthfirst. “The GeoMaestro LMS has been instrumental in assisting us to carry out this commitment. Each year we learn more about the LMS and the many features it provides us to address our business needs. It is extremely valuable for our employees to have the ability to access ILT registration and online courses on-demand anytime and anywhere."
Recently, Healthfirst was invited by GeoLearning to appear as a successful case study on their website. The case study highlights Healthfirst’s growth, goals and commitment to employee development through the learning opportunities provided by Healthfirst University, which are supported through GeoLearning’s GeoMaestro system, referred to by Healthfirst employees as the OLS. Healthfirst’s case study is highlighted alongside other successful companies such as Orbitz, Dell, Adecco, and AMC Theaters. On June 21, GeoLearning issued a press release about our organization’s case study
Healthfirst looks forward to continuing its successful partnership with GeoLearning in order to expand, diversify and promote employees’ learning and development opportunities. Encouraging professional development will ensure we have the most capable and qualified employees to help achieve our mission to improve the health and well-being of underserved populations.
