Learning and Development
Healthfirst believes that employees are the foundation of our organization and works to ensure that we retain our talented staff by fostering their professional growth through training and educational opportunities. For the past four years, Healthfirst has partnered with GeoLearning to provide employees the Healthfirst Online Learning System (OLS) managed by our Healthfirst University (HFU).
Through the OLS, Healthfirst employees have access to over 300 online courses, which they can take from any work or home computer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can also register for Healthfirst’s onsite HFU instructor-led courses through the Healthfirst OLS
Healthfirst will continue to expand, diversify and promote employees’ learning and development opportunities. Encouraging professional development will ensure we have the most capable and qualified employees to help achieve our mission to improve the health and well-being of underserved populations.
Lastly, Healthfirst believes in promoting from within and encouraging employee growth through our Leadership Development Program (LDP). Selected employees are nominated to participate in a six-month training program administered by the American Management Association (AMA), to enhance their leadership skill set. They complete four AMA-taught courses, receive feedback from two 360° surveys, and participate in one-on-one customized coaching.
