The program was established to increase Healthfirst members' awareness of obesity prevention and treatment, and aims to provide members with the following: patient/parent educational materials; newsletters and website articles that include healthy lifestyle and behavioral changes; resource information regarding community fitness programs; and Nutritionist or Mental Health Specialist referral/authorization for members when deemed necessary.
- Diabetes Registry: This Healthfirst program encourages members with diabetes to go for a physical and for diabetes-related services through reminder mailings and more. Healthfirst providers also personally reach out to members with diabetes to offer related services.
