Healthfirst Welcomes Neighborhood Health Providers

On February 1, 2013, Neighborhood Health Providers (“Neighborhood”) joined the Healthfirst family of companies.

Neighborhood is a leader in providing Medicaid, Family Health Plus, and Child Health Plus programs to over 217,000 members throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, and Suffolk County.The combined resources of Healthfirst and Neighborhood will enable us to better serve our combined members and strengthen the work we do in providing affordable healthcare to broader populations in the New York area.

For now, Healthfirst and Neighborhood will operate as separate companies with separate member and provider networks. Healthfirst members will continue to use their Healthfirst network doctors; Neighborhood members will continue to use their Neighborhood network doctors. Nothing will change for members of either company, and they will continue to receive the same high-quality care and service they do now.
