Healthfirst Sponsors 56th Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade
BRONX, NY,May 23, 2013 –Healthfirst is sponsoring the 56th Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City, scheduled for Sunday, June 9th. Led by this year’s Grand Marshall, actress Chita Rivera, the procession will march down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue starting at 11:00am. This year’s parade theme is “Celebrating Your Health”.
Leading up to the parade, Healthfirst will participate in two cultural festivals in the Bronx offering health education materials and free face painting for children. Attendees are welcome to visit the Healthfirst tent at the 152nd Street Cultural Festival (between Jackson and Union Avenues) on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00am – 5:00pm. The Healthfirst tent will also be present at the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Music Festival and Health Fair at Roberto Clemente Park, 301 W Tremont Ave., Bronx, NY 10453 on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00am – 6:00pm.
