Healthfirst and TD Bank Honor NYC Department of Education Parent Coordinators with Queens Congressman Gregory W. Meeks
QUEENS, NY, April 5, 2013 – Healthfirst and TD Bank are sponsoring the “Parent Coordinator Recognition Award” breakfast series honoring NYC Department of Education Parent Coordinators in Queens today. The breakfast host, Congressman Gregory W. Meeks, is recognizing parent coordinators based in Queens public schools within the 5th Congressional District. Congressman Meeks will present each honoree with a Certificate of Appreciation.
The breakfast is being held at York College, 94-20 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica, NY from 8:00am to 11:30am. The morning will be spent having breakfast, networking and recognizing the contributions Parent Coordinators have made throughout the years in Queens schools. This year’s theme for the series is focused on “healthy choices” our children make every day.
“The important work and support that NYC Department of Education Parent Coordinators provide to school administrators, families, students and community organizations often goes unnoticed,” said George Hulse, Healthfirst VP of External Affairs. “Healthfirst is pleased to partner with Congressman Meeks to recognize the vital contributions of these coordinators, who make a difference and touch lives on a daily basis in the Queens communities they serve.”
Additional breakfasts are scheduled throughout the spring in the boroughs of Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan, each hosted by an elected official.
