BRONX, NY, February 1, 2013 – On Friday, February 8, Healthfirst and TD Bank kick off the 2013 annual “Parent Coordinator Recognition Award” breakfast series honoring NYC Department of Education Parent Coordinators. The first breakfast event will be hosted in the Bronx by Senator Gustavo Rivera, recognizing parent coordinators based in Bronx public schools. Honorees will receive Certificates of Appreciation presented by Senator Rivera.
The breakfast will be held at William Hodson Senior Center, 1320 Webster Avenue, Bronx, NY 10456 from 8:00AM to 11:30AM. The morning will be spent having breakfast, networking and recognizing the contributions parent coordinators have displayed throughout the years in Bronx schools. This year’s theme for the series is focused on “healthy choices” our children make every day.
“The important work and support that NYC Department of Education Parent Coordinators provide to school administrators, families, students and community organizations often goes unnoticed,” said George Hulse, Healthfirst VP of External Affairs. “Healthfirst is pleased to partner with Senator Gustavo Rivera to recognize the vital contributions of these coordinators, who make a difference and touch lives on a daily basis in the Bronx communities they serve.”
Additional breakfasts are scheduled throughout the spring in the boroughs of Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan, each hosted by an elected official.
