Child Health Plus Renewal Information
As a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the Child Health Plus program, offered by Healthfirst, it is important that you renew your child’s health insurance coverage each year.
Our Healthfirst Retention Specialists can help ease the renewal process and assist you with renewing your child’s health insurance coverage.
Child Health Plus Member(s): Healthfirst will send you a reminder letter and a renewal form booklet approximately 60-90 days before your child’s last day of coverage. Additionally, one of our Retention Specialists will contact you 90 days before your child’s annual renewal date and can provide any assistance you need in completing your renewal form.
Remember, to avoid ending your child’s health insurance coverage with Healthfirst, you must complete and submit your renewal form to Healthfirst by the renewal date listed on your renewal documents.
For information about renewing your child’s health insurance coverage or for assistance completing the application, you may call our Healthfirst Member Services Department at 1-877-869-1156, TTY 1-800-662-1220, Monday – Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or visit us at one of our Community Offices. If you are unable to make it to a Healthfirst location, you may request that we visit your home and assist you.

For some Healthfirst plans, you will need to make a monthly payment (or “premium”) to stay insured. It’s important to make all payments on time. You can make payments online, by phone, or at any Healthfirst office in your neighborhood.
